We waiver. One week the best Caesar is at Bistro Don Giovanni in the town of Napa, one week it is at Mustards Grill, Yountville. Either week, either way, you win. These are the best salads in the Valley. Hail to Caesar!
Expect: 12-14 large, perfect, pale green spears, only the inner leaves of chilled, crunchy Romaine will be served. The leaves are smartly dressed with garlicky Parmesan threads.
When we travel outside the Bay-area for any length of time, our first meal back is almost always at Bistro Don Giovanni or Mustards Grill, specifically to get a Caesar "taste hit."
