Hands down, nothing beats sitting on stools 10 and 11, which round the southern corner of the bar, enabling two to talk and eat while sort-of facing one another. But don't bother to ask for these bar seats — we'll be in them!
This is probably the most attractive bar in the valley; locals drop by daily, as animals do a watering hole for sustenance. Bartenders David, John, Jeff and Scott know what's good for you, and they pour to meet your needs.
Want to taste a particular bottled beverage? As long as it's already opened, no problemo. In summer, the bar crowd is two and three deep, many guests waiting for their reserved tables to open. At quieter times, locals like to sit at the bar and dine as well as drink. It doesn't get any more casual, any more wine-country-ish. Not anywhere in the valley.
