About Us
The Insider's Guide to Napa Valley.

ilovenapa.com is a celebration of all the best things in Napa Valley.

ilovenapa.com is written by professional food and wine writers. We know what
we're talking about — we live here.

ilovenapa.com is a one-stop, full-service website to help you plan your
visit to Napa Valley and make sense of all the options — the wineries, wine
tours and restaurants you want to try.

Essentially, ilovenapa.com is a public version of what we typically email to
out-of-area friends who ask what they should do, see, drink and where they
should eat during their visit to Napa Valley.

It's also a place where you'll discover small production, under-the-radar,
Napa Valley wines that are often so limited in quantity they rarely make it
out of the valley. We'll show you where you can purchase them.

At ilovenapa.com, we'll help identify all the services you'll want when you
visit. Need an A-1 limo driver while you're here? Want to know who's
operating the best hot air balloons over Napa Valley? Want to know what's
the Best Italian Restaurant in the valley? Or who makes the Best Caesar
Salad? You'll find the all the answers in the ilovenapa.com Best of Napa
Valley
, Jim's Personal Favorites, in Jim White's Postcard from Napa Valley,
or in Paul Franson's Winery Dispatch.

PLEASE NOTE: Lest you think that we say good things just to obtain a paid ad
from an advertiser — let us assure you that this is NOT the case. On the
editorial side, we are professional journalists; we cannot be bought for a
meal or a massage. We have to live here long after our reviews are published
and visitors leave and we will not sully our professional reputation in this
community for a dollar.

What is different about our critical assessments from those that we used to
apply in the daily press is this; when we reviewed restaurants, for example,
we nitpicked the places to death and told readers why NOT to go to a
particular restaurant. Since life is too short to spend hours telling you
where NOT to go in Napa Valley, we have edited out all that chaff; you have
our recommendations of what wineries to visit, what restaurants to dine at,
which wine tours to take, which wines to taste, or buy. The stuff you need
to experience.

Our website is young and not every function that we aim to provide is yet
programmed. But our intention is to service you to perfection. To make your
visit to Napa Valley unforgettable and your best-ever trip anywhere. So be
sure to revisit our site often to discover our updates and changes.
